Who I Am

I’m in my late sixties now semi retired… working on an ongoing project as a Freelance Interior and Landscape Designer. I was (for a decade) Head Designer at a boutique showroom in Soho NY that specialized in modern custom Italian and German installations. As a freelance designer I completed many full service residential projects at prestigious addresses up and down the island of Manhattan in the 1980s and 1990s. I stayed in the industry until a few weeks after 9/11/2001.

I worked in close proximity to the World Trade Center and 9/11 had a profound impact on my life. My response to the disaster was to start a creative workshop to help New Yorker’s heal at the time. That work was very rewarding and kept me busy for several years. A decade ago I moved to the magnificent city of Seattle where an acquaintance asked if I would help her with the design of her residence. Since that day I’ve been providing design services without pause. Life has its’ ironies… keeping active doing something that doesn’t feel like work is such a gift!
